A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

The whispers have all gone

Left for some other

And my heart has been taken

Replaced with a picture

My eyes are consumed

There is no sense in the writings

No logic in lies

Can't love be the answer

What would that question be

The rhythm defeated

The beat has run home

My powers deflated

My wisdom to none

Fallen from below

Risen from on high

It seems a little backwards

I have no idea why

The treetops are calling

The message flys tonight

It says to silence conversation

There are battles left to fight

Some don't believe it but love is always the answer...the only answer.
This write seems to be hinting of another way of addressing life.
I enjoyed it for it's tantalising message which remains unclear but overall..positive.
Thank you for posting..
