A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

There is an answer lurking in the shadows

Distance breaking the sense of touch

No question has been asked

And yet here it stands

Answering the silence

Dripping knowledge upon the shores of my mind

Carried off by the waves of thought

Absorbed and discarded

Given credit for it's lack of use

There is a star in the heavens

I think it's following me

Lurking through my windows

Watching as I sleep

Sending messages in bottles

Filled with painful memories

A reminder of my insignificance

One to soothe the ache

What is it in aid of

Have I paid your price

Will there be redemption

Or is this just my slice

Very creative..quite enjoyed it.
First thought, take that blinking bottle of painful memories and chuck it with all your might, back into the sea of destiny and then collapse back onto the sandy shore and toast it's leaving...hahaha.
Dig your feet into the warm sand, turn over with your back to the sea and make a pretty picture in the sand with your finger.
Love it...great writing.
