With you I
decipher
the mystery
of the universe,
because you are one...
I love this-- it makes me think of how we can fall so hard for another, that we become lost inside of them. If we are not careful, we might forget who we are, who they are, as separate entities. But if balance can be found, when two universes collide, they can exist parallel, yet intertwined-- be themselves, but something entirely new at the same time.
I really enjoyed the interplay between love and metaphysics that takes place in this poem. What comes to mind in trying to describe it in a single phrase is 'separate oneness', an apparent contradiction that makes perfect sense to me.
I love this poem. It is written simply yet it addresses and demands paradox of the complexities of the need for human relations. "I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper" (The Latin proverb) comes to mind and your poem does an amazing job and capturing that idea and building upon it and extending past the basic notions of what it is to be connected with somebody. Continue to write regularly, I enjoyed this very much and look forward to your future projects!
