Being the SeaA Poem by AlexAn assignment for english class.
I stand, my toes digging deeply into the rough sand, I look around, in awe of this beautiful world I’m in. Salt-saturated sea breeze caresses my face; Pungent sweet scent fills my chest. At night, this is my favorite place. Only here can my heavy heart rest. Stars strewn across a moonlit sky, Bits of fire that no hand could ever hold. I start to think “What happened to you and I?” Listening to the billows crash, There is no place I would rather be.
