Sweet Wine

Sweet Wine

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

love poem

"

Sweet wine and roses red
grace the wedding table the day we wed
two hearts now are one and a
pledge of forever has  begun.

Sweet wine and roses red
find their way beside our bed
gentle kisses let passion fly
as forever and a day
we shout on high.

Sweetest wine and rose so red
children grown and moved away
as a new chapter comes our way.

Sweet wine and roses red
foggy eyes now are old
wrinkle hands lift a toast:

Red wine and roses sweet
Decembers kisses is life's true treat

When one has found love in the right places it can only help the roses bloom and grow and as long as that love does not wither the roses stay fresh, a lovely poem.

Red wine and roses are the two items needed for love to grow. I like the positive feel and joy in this poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.

So romantic, the words are little hearts, that sparkle a love through the ages, simplely love. Perfect form and flow makes this Pure poetry.

What a beautiful path across the seasons, and love's joys untold... WIth Valentine's day just yesterday, it made me realize that true love is always sweet and fills the senses.

You gotta be careful about that red wine stuff. It makes ya forget things. Actually I loved how you carried this through time. A love never dies, never grows old, but like fine wine, gets better with time.
