The Pace of Peace

The Pace of Peace

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

learning to slow down

"

To those who have lived on the brink of existence

and have spent every moment in a blaze

A day at rest can be oh so unwieldy.

Do not disappear I speak from a sympathetic past,

And with assurance I can tell you,

you will adjust to the sweet pace of peace

and find more passion in the morning breeze

than you ever did pursuing the  face of death.

One moment of slowing down and just looking around us, letting the world do the rest, can mean so much for our well-being. Everybody needs a moment of peace and you portray this marvelously. Thank you for this poet.

Oh yes, I love the message of harmony.
Another poetic jewel.
Thank you, Cherrie.

nice thoughts Cherie...this fast paced life can become overwhelming at times...and as your poem shows us ...yes we must slow down ...

I understand completely, I use to live fast partying which i enjoyed, but it helps me appreciate the calmer lifestyle now as I now enjoy the company of loved ones.
