than a kiss

than a kiss

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Is there anything more honest than a kiss?

It can proclaim mighty passion

Or reveal a hungry soul.

Extend a tender feeling  and rekindle flames of old.

Stiffness of the lip can detect the smallest lie

There is a lustful kiss that bares no warmth at all

it feeds fever to the body but leaves the heart so cold

And few will taste a needful kiss that will  expose the soul.

So fall into my embrace and lend your  lips to me that I may feel your honesty

and you may do the same.

Funny--I was just thinking this morning about the first girl I kissed. We can't practice that too much, can we? What pleasant thoughts your words conjure.
