The Breath of God

The Breath of God

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

The Breath of God

There is a truth hidden within each day, it is the signature of our Creator.

There is a beauty concealed within each heart, a trademark left-behind by the Maker.

It is said the tears of the Saints line the throne of the Living God in crystal phials.

Those phials are a living testament that holds our prayers and praise.

There is a secret whisper that holds the breath of God

and leaves us always listening

For his will from

above.

There is such a warm feeling here

I was reminded of this passage after reading your exquisite composition;

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

Very enjoyable read! God bless you.

Phillip

The interesting thing about God and gods is that we attribute strengths to various parts of their anatomies, because the whole is too great for us to understand. For example, there's the finger, fist and eye of God. Hindus think of the third eye, and animists often exaggerate different parts of their dieties.

But for me ... this is one of the finest lines that I've read "There is a secret whisper that holds the breath of God" describing an aspect that is beyond understanding.
