With Angels Wings

With Angels Wings

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

death, suicide

"

Black is the night, where I dream to fly

Deaf is the ears that should hear  me cry

Swift is the sirens that blaze to me

But not faster than the  calling

that sets me free.

This one got to me. I've been around the horrors of death and suicide, and from deep seated "calling" which is the chronic companion of someone who is very depressed. This poem really touches the essence of the debilitating state of mind for people with a terrible disease.

So well written........accidents and death, I often think those sirens are angels..........or the closest thing to, and you describe that so well. The flow was perfect, and the message stunning.

yes loved ones should recognize a soul in trouble... but sometimes being to close can blind you. Very powerful little poem.
