A Summer's Crown

A Summer's Crown

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

The Sun Flower

"

Summer's crown captures a happy day
Yellow hues so bright and splendid
In the breeze they bend and gently sway
Buzzing bees are for now fully contented
While hidden hives are amber scented
I cannot steal your beauty from this living field
Bending my mind to a more peaceful way
I drink in this simple beauty wishing I could stay
This moment rare in a poem shall I convey
God's perfect gift He has blended

Love the canvass you paint here, with brightest summer colors and scents of honey and peace. God's world is on wondrous display!

Nature is one of God's greatest gifts if we stop to enjoy it... what a delightful little ditty bout summer.
