Chapter Four: Forever Emma

Chapter Four: Forever Emma

A Chapter by Cherrie Palmer
"

Written two days before her birth and after we found out she would be a downs baby.

"

I was just now thinking of the first time I laid in your arms. The peace I felt. While joys and fears raced wildly within you. I on the other hand felt right at home, as you cradled me beneath your smile.

Knowing your heart so well like I do. I wished to tell you of how I have spent the last several months. Standing at the Father’s good throne, I am a mighty warrior of your very own. Praying for Daddy and You, praying God’s good strength would see you through. Knowing God’s hand has woven your hearts till they are now one and seeing His mercies at hand. His amazing grace rests upon your head. This is my gift to you a tender knowing that life and love makes each day new. Blessing and hope grows and awakes ever eternal and blooms into faith.

So whisper my name into my ear and see the heavens stars dance in my eyes as your words tickle me right down to my soul and ponder the meaning of my name as complete now we are.

 Forever and always Emma

EMMA e(m)ma, German origin, meaning complete

This is the clearest of all the chapters I've read here so far. Your byline (below the title) makes me wonder if this is a true story of YOUR downs baby? If so you've truly done a magical job! Not having had kids, I love hearing about a mother's point of view. The baby seems to be speaking as if expressing it's thoughts as a prayer. Your approach is so fresh & unexpected! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
