Chilled Wine Warm Kiss

Chilled Wine Warm Kiss

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Chaiku

"

One glass red wine,

your eyes divine,

two words one match,

warm fire slow dance,

soft jazz  transmits,

relive first glance,

moonlit  picnic,

your hand  in mine

starlit skyline,

our hearts keeptime,

chilled wine warm kiss,

our love  true bliss.

never heard of chaiku ... i like the meter your poem takes .. the mix of iambic and trochaic arrangements works .. it presents a very specific rhythm when i read it ..especially out loud ...love the title and theme ..very romantic ... simple, the way it should be. :)

Hey visual communication, I like something that makes you see as you read. Thank you.
Now I'm reading the reviews. Is that a thing? Chaiku?

I know sounds like I should say God bless you and cover you nose. :)
How far back in time am I? I like the 4, 4 thing. I'd use a musical term to describe it. Staccato. The sharp consonants add to it.

Thank you metered writings are not my fortaie. But this arrangement just sorta wrote itself.
I raise my Chianti to your chaiku which goes down fine with or without wine......Never knowingly written one of these, looks far too complicated. I applaud ya.................Neville

Hi, Dear Cherrie!
It's only Richard, paying a visit to tell you what I think is a most lovely, fetching, sigh-worthy piece of poetical romance. Your creative heart and tender notions truly caress my senses.
It's been a long while since my olde pen scribed a Chaiku, but you've inspired me anew (see Mockingbird).
I have never came close to anything as wonderful as yours is in flow, imagery, nuance, timbre, or bliss-filled moment.
Though, the quatrain verses are normally spaced apart, yours work well in ease of rhythm and flow … and, Cherrie, I really do love this sweet little warmer. : )

Happy hugs 'n warmest thanks for sharing You, Dear Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard
