The Dale Below

The Dale Below

A Poem by Cherrie

The fowl blowing of the gale,

shrieks at me from a long forgotten place.

The sun unwilling to reflect,

hides behind a skirted sky.

And in his despair drenched the dale below.

Wind and rain, two of my favorite subjects come to the dale. My visits with them have been a bit more than alarming this past year. Hurricane Helene just dumped a busload of both on us. I like the imagery here. F.
