With The SunA Poem by CherrieI
With the setting sun
The wind laid low. With the sleeping breeze The night came forth. In the velvet black Stars were born. Bright bounding stars Dangling high. A soaring owl Surveyed the sod. A country mouse A tasty treat. And with ease Her chicks did eat. Now the moon Joined the troop. To see what he Might see. His reflection In a brook. Offering a elk A drink. A grazing deer Puffed hot air. Then turned On his tail to retreat. In his haste He woke the wind. Covering the land In a tiffany throw. For that old Jack Frost Was never Heaven sent. But never the less his cloak he cast. As the first flush of day Set the basin ablaze. With the waking Of the sun. © 2024 CherrieReviews
