Waltzing Across Land and Sea

Waltzing Across Land and Sea

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Aba ab1 ab3 ab1 ab3 ab13. Part 2 of the curtain...

"
Casting his light for the Sky to see.

As the curtain of Night still hung.

Waltzing across both land and sea.

The weighted night must flee.

As the morning dove sung.

Casting his light for the Sky to see.

The mist of Night can no more be.

As the blue bells of morning rung.

Waltzing across both land and sea.

The azure sky broke carefree.

As the hymn of life rolled off my tongue.

Casting his light for the Sky to see.

Déjà vu, could not foresee.

The casting new of colors flung.

Waltzing across both land and sea.

Filling this new day with heartfelt glee.

This gifted elixir that makes us young.

Casting his light for the Sky to see.

Waltzing across both land and sea.

dearest Cherrie... "this gifted elixir that makes us young" is sung by both young and old. We sleep in a Chapel Room with a Cathedral ceiling and windows that the morning light shines through in pastel colors swept across the land and Sea. Your poetry and writings are always seen with reverence in a blue sky of Eternity. tenderly, Pat

A lovely uplifting write Cherrie to read on a fine sunny Sunday morning. I love the repetition here. So much nicer to have light rather than darkness. Nice visuals. Happy Sunday to you.

this reminds of Poe, only in a positive light...
unlike how he wrote of dreariness...
this is uplifting...

Sounds to me like you've been at the silly o'clock scenery again Cherrie, as night still hangs and so few souls are awake to watch the show, free to view and better than anything they'll find on TV.
And as you watched night fade, it sounds like you continued to watch the day unfold too.
I can watch that show every night and no two are a repeat.
Beautifully captured words.
Ps.. Small typo, probably caused by spellchecker in line four. Should read flee.

Hi Cherrie,
Still typing with one finger on my left hand after breaking my clavicle...
Loved reading this..
Really enjoyed these two lines.
Casting his light for the Sky to see.

Waltzing across both land and sea.
Casting his light for the Sky to see.

So so interesting.

I loved the above lines. I like to waltz with my Great lakes now. Grandchildren love to dance with the dancing waves. Thank you dear friend for sharing the outstanding poetry.
