This speaks to me. ‘So, to those that follow, I write: dangerous curve ahead’ such a true and profound statement. We learn, we absorb and we take with us certain things but ultimately we evolve by following our own compass of thoughts on our own journey. It is the only way for us as individuals and for society to evolve. A well written and brilliant write.

so often the warning of "curves ahead" is not given or more often given and ignored (speaking from personal experience on the later element), but yet we continue to help those behind avoid the mire into which we fell. I think of this on a personal level but also as a family, community or nation. How many lives have been lost by making the same mistakes over and over. Chalk it up to ignorance, hard headed, distraction, or arrogance; it is still costly. enjoyed your work, thank you for the post -carl
Oh wow, Oh wow, forgive my improvencia,
[chuckling to myself]
The trajectory of a map that follows the curves of a woman
love that,
an endless notion no longer a catapult, no longer a desire,
but the urge is strong, a goddess,
thank you so much for sharing your work,

My youngest is getting ready to go to college and she wants to move away to Portland. I find myself wanting to cry and tell her she can't. But, that would be a fools errand. I took her to visit and she saw all the good while I ticked all of the bad, I guess I need to just shut up and get on board. This was great look at what its like to be a parent and a child.

Maybe you can get a job on the campus security detail.
I can see her face now. Lol
we often feel we are following in footsteps of those who came before...
but there is often quicksand ahead...or obstacles to break our figurative ankles.
we sidestep by using our own map or our own instincts...
and then we get to warn those who come after us.
I think of my dad here...and I relate...now where is that damned map anyway? I have it here somewhere.

See you can write this journey poem also. Title it- Where is that Dam Map.
dearest Cherrie... your poem is entitled perfectly for the Times we are experiencing.
There are no Maps to guide our way-- only Poetry and encouragement. You always
write with a Pen dipped in God's infinite Wisdom. softly, Pat
Yes, I get why that journey, especially for women would perhaps need an amendment like that, as we come to a junction/ crossroads that only multiply our fears of taking the wrong turn and danger being multiplied at the possibilities opening up, but I am a guy and can't help myself to leave marks on maps either, but my wicked side overtakes and "Thar be beasties here" is scrawled alongside a pirate flag and the obligatory X marks the spot, which is written more prominent, always where my vegetable patch is when it needs dug over. 😊
If life were a movie, you should never pick the path where ominous music starts, but life isn't a movie and you never want to make it to the credits.
Was it just me or did your words seem like they were whispered? At least in my head they added a bit more ominouse... Ominousit... Spooky biscuits feelby feeling that way. 😊

Now that would make a grand poem. Okay, go get the keyboard and name Thar be beasties ahead!
Add the mention of a sister along with your mother and grandmother, and this would suit the crossroads in my life, as well. Brilliant composition of words, Cherrie.
