Flaming BrightA Poem by Cherrie PalmerThe salted sky calmly waited for the first rays of morning. Small dollops of clouds littered the heavens. A thin vista of gold quickly bloomed. As if a child commanded the morning canvas, bright tangerine hit hot and bold on the eastern horizon. Causing the underbelly of the heavens to flame bright. It was easy to spy the river that snaked along the next ridge, for its outline was etched in fine morning mist; that softly nestled among the tree line. Morning woke eager and full of life. her invitation to join the celebration drew me outside. © 2023 Cherrie PalmerReviews
