Whispered the Wind

Whispered the Wind

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

A whisper on the wind,

Chanted.

-something changed-

-no longer the same-

I saw her truth.

And nodded.

I climbed to the peak,

For the horizon to seek.

as grumbling rocks,

Chanted.

-the wind is afraid,

that something has changed-

And again,

- I nodded.

From still waters I supped.

And the truth met my thirst.

-Yesterday is gone-

-and its memory absent-

Shall we weep for tomorrow?

Or for the past sorrow?

Nay say I

- let us seek out the new-

And a whisper on the wind,

Chanted.

That was nice, don't weep for the past, send your whispers towards the new, the future and find the beauty it brings. I really enjoyed this.

Thank you Will.
I wasn't sure the program would let me respond, but it finally opened. :)
