Whispered the WindA Poem by Cherrie PalmerA whisper on the wind, Chanted. -something changed- -no longer the same- I saw her truth. And nodded. I climbed to the peak, For the horizon to seek. as grumbling rocks, Chanted. -the wind is afraid, that something has changed- And again, - I nodded. From still waters I supped. And the truth met my thirst. -Yesterday is gone- -and its memory absent- Shall we weep for tomorrow? Or for the past sorrow? Nay say I - let us seek out the new- And a whisper on the wind, Chanted. © 2023 Cherrie Palmer |
