Spring’s Renewing

Spring’s Renewing

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Sorrows of the past
fringe upon the edges.
Seeds of hope
rest just beneath my feet.
Cascading sunrays
declare Spring's renewing.
And soon
Winter's blanket will bloom in
Living green.

Not so many budding shoots of spring this far north yet, but I shall keep my eyes peeled for those eager young rebels who are always too excited to wait for nature's timeclock. If they were kids in the backseat, I bet their parents would have already heard "Are we there yet?" for the billionth time.
A time for new hope and beginnings... I think we all need some more of that 😊

Every work day I drive down highway 68 towards Monterey here in California. It is incredibly scenic and I wouldn't be surprised if many photographers have spent hours capturing its beauty in photos. As winter slowing fades I'm literally living the experience of your eloquent lovely poem. A very nice write Cherrie.
