Two-Faced Moon

Two-Faced Moon

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Ex watching lovers

"

   Two-Faced Moon

I will not look away                             I cannot look away

                                  From you

In my arms you fit so well                   I cannot look away

In my heart love does swell               I cannot look away

With passing time our souls excel    I cannot look away

A broken heart my only tell

                          Still

                                                                I cannot look away

Love can hug or hurt at times. Seems a need to look for either a dent or gleam; find the something unsure OR too wonderful for words! Your words intrigue this reader but perhaps you, the, prime participant but.. you can't look away. What a tangled web we weave but -you can't look away. Such fine words, nudging thought.. as yous o often do, Cherrie

For some reason I thought of reality shows about relationships that are trainwrecks. I was just working with a guy whose wife would watch them. Just like you wrote ... couldn't look away. But had to in disgust

I like the way you flirt with words... but this is actually a serious love poem... even when love seems to become a shadow of itself, still she cannot look away....I like the repetition as well....
Lovely Brevity poem Cherrie.

A complete package of a poem from title to verse, from the visual and the way it "sits on the page" to its innovation. A most pleasurable read.
