With care let us ease the day away,
and before we close the door to rest,
sing to tomorrow a greeting of care.
Let a tender voice be offered.
Coaxing her to yield her golden rays.
While we determine,
in our own heart.
To make the most of the new day.

Yeats (and many others) have said that poems are an argument with yourself. Perhaps the missing element is a degree of some type of conflict?
