Twice Aged

Twice Aged

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Twice aged.

Fully flavored,

and smooth.

Aromatic aromas, waft through the air.

Triplicity of sugared maple, wood, and char.

Distilled in an amber tincture.

Served neat.

Its bouquet, a lingering kiss.

Come sup with me,

and let us share this elixir,

called life.

Yes, life is abundant with sugar and spice and everything nice... If people would just take a minute to look...check their senses..
Aged liquor sounds good to and is a very good metaphor..

I'll drink to that Cherrie. Sounds like the perfect tipple. Senses are titilated Taste and smell in particular. I raise my glass. Top up please.

I love the metaphor of a perfectly aged liquor, with the the scents of all ... to life itself, perfectly aged with the scents of love and relationships of sweet maple.
Very Clever

No giggling on the back row.
I'd hate for you to miss lunch recess.
I love the word triplicity! A comfortable good relationship as a fine liquor is a great idea. Syrupy love, strong wood and the fire to burn it. I hope you don't mind if I use that someday, triplicity.
