5 More MinutesA Poem by Cherrie Palmer
Hit Snooze
I want more sleep. Five more minutes, the day will keep. I'm still hiding from from the long cold night. I’m not ready for the snow to sweep. Sleep won’t come there’s no more rest. So for five more minutes I lay in bed. With the second beep Spring has sprung. So get up and move we got Winter on the run. © 2022 Cherrie PalmerAuthor's Note
