5 More Minutes

5 More Minutes

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Hit Snooze

I want more sleep.

Five more minutes, the day will keep.

I'm still hiding from from the long cold night.

I’m not ready for the snow to sweep.

Sleep won’t come there’s no more rest.

So for five more minutes I lay in bed.

With the second beep Spring has sprung.

So get up and move we got Winter on the run.

Good morning Light. Well then it may be time to settle in for a short rest.
Winter ain't done yet. And that wake up call is coming due.

Nicely done, Miss Cherrie.

Well winter seems like to be laying low the temperature 3on the rise (again)
.
Writing about anything and everything huh? That's what can be so much fun. The challenge of taking anything and spinning it into poetry. I swear almost everything I see these days wants to be a poem and have to put my blinders on so my brain can get a little....more rest. I like the idea of seasons as a clock. That doesn't spring forward.

Y know that would make a good story (seasons as a clock).
Well, I have no snow to sweep away, but I have three cats that are quite vocal every morning. I think my snooze bar needs a snooze bar. Here's hoping spring is just around the corner. It's 73 here in San Diego and sunny. Warm wishes for you!
