Your Slip Is Showing

Your Slip Is Showing

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

“Pardon me ma’am, but your slip is showing.”

“Yes,” she said with eyes not bright.

“But not my soul.”

hmm. do women even wear slips anymore? that's a classic line from bygone days. it was a good ice breaker too. there's something alluring about them. i suppose that back in more conservative times it was a tease. this is cute and i enjoyed being taken back to simpler days ... :)

I'm not sure if young women wear slips but I not being so young still have them. :)
Honest words written. The soul, protected from the eyes of others. Hello dear Cherrie and thank you for sharing your amazing poetry.

I like this poem. It truly speaks volumes in such a short string of words. About self respect. And excellent message and write Cherrie.
