Chi of LifeA Poem by Cherrie PalmerMaybeMay I draw nearer? My soul cries to know. Know our love is anointed with each tear. Tears straight from Heaven's reserved overflow . Overflowing my heart leaving it bare. Bare your spirit to me I beg and plea. Pleas I fear are lost. Can you bend to want? Want and need, lover of my youth, my chi. Chi of life my very breath that I hunt. Hunter of time yield a single moment. Moments that I shall cherish for always. Always that is dancing just out in front. Front and center I stand with heart ablaze. Shall I speak distinctly, making it clear? Clearer to you. Say I. I need you near.
