Chi of Life

Chi of Life

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Maybe

"
May I draw nearer? My soul cries to know.
Know our love is anointed with each tear.
Tears straight from Heaven's reserved overflow .
Overflowing my heart leaving it bare.
Bare your spirit to me I beg and plea.
Pleas I fear are lost. Can you bend to want?
Want and need, lover of my youth, my chi.
Chi of life my very breath that I hunt.
Hunter of time yield a single moment.
Moments that I shall cherish for always.
Always that is dancing just out in front.
Front and center I stand with heart ablaze.
Shall I speak distinctly, making it clear?
Clearer to you. Say I. I need you near.

As I sat here ready to type, a question mark paused my thought enough to look again and notice how effortless the last line and the first of the next flowed so we'll together.
Once felt, it is an intoxicating and enticing feeling we never tire of knowing on our lives, addicting us to its knowing of warmth and happiness that is always welcome in our lives, especially missed in the moments we notice how better it is to be with it than without.

Dear Cherrie, this is a clever write. A sonnet with the end word of each line, starting the following line. It flows beautifully and is meaningful with it. Lovely work dear poet. Happy new year to you.

I also love the first and last wordplay. And it wrapped up so nice! Communication is such great material for poetry.

Thank you William. I really liked the setup of this one and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Such an emotional poem and also has - the added literary use of the final word of each line starting the
following line oh so sensitively. Stay safe, Cherrie -and ever loved.

Thank you so much Ken :)
I'm reading this as you being in a rapturous passionate love affair with your own chi, which then gives your creativity a mega-boost to the stars where it finds stardust to boost the fun! (((HUGS)))

Love's baptism...
It is important to be able to express how much we need another's love...how important that person is to us.
With that communication, we are anointed and can embark on a life together.'
