Lumbering SunA Poem by Cherrie Palmer
The black road top is wet from rain,
and an ashen ridge of clouds creates an overhang. The job of the sun is not yet seen, as he climbs for the easternmost peak. A crimson glow is seen from behind. As the sun summits the clouded line. Just that quick the image shifts and like a tumbling tide the wall is split. The shattered pieces drift away and a lumbering sun warms the day. © 2021 Cherrie PalmerReviews
