I Cling to the Light

I Cling to the Light

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Familiar is this moment and place.

Where I feel the rhythm of your heart and beliefs.

Connected to your every dream, I rest in this sheltered space.

The sun and the moon pale, to the stars I find in your eyes,

And twinkling far above, I cling to that light, thanking the Lord above.

Your poem describes the kind of friend or beloved who sticks in your head & heart all the time, radiating fun little remembrances that summon a giggle or a smile or a tear. A never-ending connection that goes on despite circumstances removing the physical aspect of being together (((HUGS)))
