The Sword of Light

The Sword of Light

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Remember this my little lad.

Never hide beneath the bed.

Just call for me and I'll there be.

For the monsters of the night hide from me.

I will come with the sword of light
and send them fleeing into the night.

A mothers love and like a prayer, two for the price of one, and I love the childlike simplicity of it yet it’s not simple writing. Very nicely done!

I too think of this poem as a blending. God our Champion and the sword His word.
This is beautiful
I’m not a granny I envy them
Love that poem

All Grannies have a super power. Mine is cookies and kicking out monsters. :)
A sweet little poem to scare away the ghoulies that haunt the night in the shadows, closets, and under beds. Thank you Cherrie for your cute tiny write.

My sword of light is a double A powered red flashlight that takes no prisoners :)
Amazing words shared dear Cherrie. I have been singing a similar song to my grandchildren for many years. Thank you dear friend for sharing the excellent poetry.
