Dessert BloomA Poem by Cherrie Palmer
Blistering silence cleaves the air,
And the pounding of my heart is all I can hear. Suspended in motion by the blush of a bud. The hummingbird sups on a little more than dust. The dessert rose such a bold nectar, With a hefty price he doges danger. The blazing sun has white washed the sky, As radiating heat dances our souls on high. © 2021 Cherrie PalmerReviews
