Almost

Almost

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Pieces of life that almost happened

"
Almost blined.
Almost lost.
Almost broken,
upon the rocks.

Almost discovered,
but couldn't play the game.

Almost stolen.
Almost shot.
Almost killed;
but I jumped back up.

As almost's goes,
I can't complain.

For my life of
got to's
keeps me sustained.

For me, so many opportunities to be destroyed, but then surviving, it seems to be a call for even more appreciation about the beauty of being alive & mostly thriving (((HUGS)))

Yes I agree. Don't be a naysayer but be grateful for your life and blessing.

Thank you Kerra
All of the almost add as much to life's tapestry as what we get to do and achieve and are forever intertwined in the tapestry of what we call life.
All of those almost ended that path and we would never have achieved what we did if we never got diverted onto the new path, that becomes THE path when we make it over a hurdle and gallop towards the next.
I like the way you have looked through a microscope and contemplated the did and didn'ts, they never stop coming, do they? And some have the cheek to say life is boring! 😊

Yes. What is the old saying 'almost' only counts in horseshoes, and hand-grenades.
