I enjoyed this. The taste of tears isn't always only salty. Sometimes it's bitter and sometimes it's sweet. The bitter can certainly leave a lasting bad taste in our mouths. All we can do is all we do but even a little is sometimes enough. I'm reminded of what Confucius said in The Analects, "It is better to light a single candle than to sit and curse the darkness." Let's all hope to keep our matches, as well as our eyes, dry.

Yes I believe what the world 🌎 needs is for God's light to make a way.

I reply to that by saying to them, have you never even observed the earth? The sun shines constantly and sheds its brilliant, life-giving light 24 hours a day on our world. Why then, is there darkness? There is darkness because the earth turns away from the light. But the light returns as the earth turns again to face the sun. But f it were not so, all of our planet would die; one half, because it would be cast into constant and utter darkness and the other half because it could not withstand the heat of the constant light. I like to look at all things natural as representations and clues to the working of all things divine. Blessings and best wishes for a wonderful New Year.
Your poem made me think about my reaction to "things"
When I am emotionally hurt I do cry.
When I feel blamed I react without tears.
When my anger is high then there are no tears..until later.

I do agree that when people hide behind guilt there's seldom tears.
However tears of joy flow with ease.
Thank you for reading this poem and I enjoyed your thoughts on it.

Yes exactly. I don't know how that works but it does.
Sadly, I relate too much to this piece...It seems that tears just won't come for me...oh perhaps when watching a movie, but when real life hits, I can't seem to react...
only later in small but powerful increments does the pain hit...
very relatable read.

That is exactly it...action first, tears later.
They will come eventually.

I love this
Sounds sadly to me like the subject is in inner turmoil almost at a crossroads in life decision and can cry later much later
Beautiful
Thanks 🙏
