stolen

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

The voice of ‘they’ were stolen,

by the politics of the times.

‘A choice,’ says she.

So, an infant will not be.

And an imbittered heart

alone in the dark,

was never asked

for a

cup of

water.

dear Cherry... the Soul of a child before birth is a precious jewel waiting to enter our world... the heartbeat of many “moons” and falling stars
will mourn the passing of the one who may have been a poet or musician ... an inventor of a Cure or a Mother or Father; or Professor... Our Heart ♥️ Is big enough to encompass the possibility of Life. gently, Pat

when I was very small I still remember some nights when my parents would fight before they got divorced when I was so afraid I would walk down the stairs and ask for a cup of water just to get them to stop:/ I was adopted and I got to ask for a cup of water:/
