Here in Michigan, Winter left for a week. Me and the grandchildren went to the beach. 75 degrees days and sunny. A miracle for Michigan. We took the jackets off the grandchildren enjoyed the Indian Summer in November. I hope for more. Thank you dear Annette for sharing your amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Same here it has been in the 70's I love this weather. But I am drowning in leaves.

Me too. Poor nature is confused. I am not complaining. I will return to the lake dear Cherrie.
a sweet, delicate write. wow, someone is already thinking spring before winter has even taken hold. love the coat metaphor. here in greater boston we had several inches of snow on the day before thanksgiving, now in the seventies - who'd have thought? fall certainly is transitory. nice work amd remember to zip up ... :)

I love trying to find ways to convey nature and its seasons.
autumn feel of longer comfort that ensues one's soul. Simple words yet takes you somewhere where some seasons can be uncomfortable and the coldness of winter especially when it starts. To say, the poem praises autumn, describing its abundance, harvest, and transition into winter, and uses intense, sensuous imagery to elevate the fleeting beauty of the moment. I felt the theme deeply here. Keep writing sincerely your friend in writing and life
