Lover's sleep

Lover's sleep

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Passion high, resistance low.
Counting stars from the earth below.
Rich red wine calls for more.
As mortals dance beneath moon and stars.
Sated love bows low its head.
And under a cover of down lovers rest.

You're so welcome!
I do wonder, are the Gods watching us? I love myth and tale. Would be cool, if we had muses, goddess of love and the god of wine. Hello dear Cherrie and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and tale.

Thank you, I try to keep poems like this simple and let sparse words and emotion carry the piece.

Thank you so much.
Romantic write Cherrie for dark days. We all need a little bit of light at the moment. Lunar light and stars will do nicely.

Good sound advice there. Keep safe Cherrie.
A sweet endearing poem... Cherrie...
now that winter's chill has set in.
Lovers find solace in the Moon and stars.
Tonight on Halloween, we have a Full Moon ...
that has not been seen on Halloween for
the first time in 76 years. Blessed are Lovers
now and forever. tenderly, Pat

It made me wonder..."Rich red wine calls for more"...more wine? more stars? more love?

Um-goodness, Lady Cherrie 🥂

I thought I smelled smoke, followed it, and just look where I ended-up … "GULP!"
Sensuality, done well, is my favorite poetical topic, and if anyone has any doubt your pen knows how to sizzle well, they've only to feel the warmly romantic embrace of this enthrallingly scintillating piece.
Your imaginative creativity speaks in volumes of inner embers aglow in the arms of sheer bliss, a savored kiss, a caress (or, two), and the ambiance is set for sweet amoré.

Oops! My screen is beginning to melt! 😳
Thank you ever-so warmly and truly for setting the page ablaze with the loveliness of your wonderful feminine touch … smiles 'n hugs! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Pssst!
