Fall's Arrival

Fall's Arrival

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

A

 push of

wind darted across

my lane.

I fully expected

to see

showers of rain,

And

showers did come

moving

with the breeze.

A

monsoon of leaves

 spread-out

before me.

Freed from summer’s heat,

 I

reveled in

change.

Fall,

 has announced

its arrival,

and

I for one

am relieved.

Weather sure has filled the year. America is burning, Britain is flooding.
Covid loves the cold weather, flu too.
The beginning of 2021 sure will be interesting.
Still want the snow mind you.

Thank you Kym, :)
Spoken in such poetic and creative voice as one from a warmer clime. We here in the UK are hunkering down to a bone chilling to come.

My sister in Canada gets it much colder!
I, for two, am relieved...
I love October, Autumn...the crisp air, the deep halcyon sky...
this poem has me anticipating, what is to come...
and it is breezy in its read...
thank you for this poem...

We are having perfect days in Michigan. 55 degree at night and 75 degree in the day. Beautiful early Fall days. Hello dear Cherrie and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry for the coming Fall days.
