America's SongA Poem by Cherrie PalmerCowritten by Richard and myselfAcross the land there sings a voice; it tells of ways we're not sure of, In every song, there lives a choice to withhold all, or give with love. Tho' sparsely heard, the voice rings low, a tiny soul not sure of self, he sits alone in his chateau, what he would not, trade for his health. While struggling to find his breath, hard-stricken by dark, unseen foe, so little stands 'tween life and death, it's not his choice to stay or go. A mother's tears anoint her babe, as God's grace concurs fate. By morning light the fever fades, and for this good news we all wait. O' blessed be, thank the good Lord, let's genuflect and say a prayer, that all the world is so adored … every innocent's in His care. Cherrie Palmer & Richard
