we are, I work in mtn home, we will have to make lunch plans here in a bit
This simple little plant life cycle poem brings so much into my mind. First, I came within 50 feet of having to evacuate a few days ago, so I'm going thru a love affair with my garden now, since I didn't have to leave it to perish. Second, I just saw a documentary that showed all the ways that plants communicate, yet they don't have a brain, so how is this intelligence manifested? Nobody knows. You show this marvel in vivid details, full of feeling like I have for my plants too. I hope you & your loved ones are safe with all the crap raining down these days! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Which makes me think of the bible verse that says ...if he don't praise Him the rocks will cry out. Those two thkngs make me see nature a new.
You have been in my prayers wild fire is a heartless beast.
Has the winds shifted, I pray you have a hedge of protection and rain. Lots of rain.
We are all doing well, and you keep a watchful eye out. Cherrie

I admire writers who do such profound pondering that ends up in poems . . . a contrast to my more slapdash way of approaching poetry. Thank you for your well-wishing & now I'm completely out of harm's way (altho millions are not!)

I am a pantser through and through. Even in life I fly by the seat of my pants, after the fact I can see, what I know, hope for, and believe mingle together in my poems. However, I may kill you off in a good, who done it. Lol

I like how you put "the sun's magic.." right next to the "shade of night..."
right after a "tender bud in the garden rests"...
If I didn't know any better I would assume this is about growing things.

A very precious poem... the blossom blooms... friendship is groomed... yes it’s all about flowers that blink and nod when storm clouds sleep beneath clouds... and sometimes weep. gently, Pat
boy do i feel like that flower lately to much root and not enough shoot:) do please hurry up sun... I need to bud:) but in the meantime I will smile after reading this MonCherrie:)
a nice allegory on friendship...
how it waits to be awakened...but this could also appeal to the situation at hand...we are waiting for the sun to shine again, there has been a dark shadow hanging over us.
and when Spring is allowed to really come to us, there will be hope for a future again...
and friendships will return to a face to face bloom.

A beautiful and wonderful poem written. My garden plants are sneaking out. I hope the warm days of Spring are coming. Thank you dear Cherrie for sharing the wonderful poetry.
