A garden's bud

A garden's bud

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

A tender bud in the garden rests,

Waiting on the suns magic for skyward to stretch.

By shade of night this bloom will sleep,

and with Springs tender rains the flower's root runs deep.

With hope and care the blossom blooms

and with time to spare a friendship is groomed.

This simple little plant life cycle poem brings so much into my mind. First, I came within 50 feet of having to evacuate a few days ago, so I'm going thru a love affair with my garden now, since I didn't have to leave it to perish. Second, I just saw a documentary that showed all the ways that plants communicate, yet they don't have a brain, so how is this intelligence manifested? Nobody knows. You show this marvel in vivid details, full of feeling like I have for my plants too. I hope you & your loved ones are safe with all the crap raining down these days! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

:) thank you Dave
For stopping by and leaving your feedback.
I like how you put "the sun's magic.." right next to the "shade of night..."

right after a "tender bud in the garden rests"...

If I didn't know any better I would assume this is about growing things.

A very precious poem... the blossom blooms... friendship is groomed... yes it’s all about flowers that blink and nod when storm clouds sleep beneath clouds... and sometimes weep. gently, Pat

a nice allegory on friendship...
how it waits to be awakened...but this could also appeal to the situation at hand...we are waiting for the sun to shine again, there has been a dark shadow hanging over us.
and when Spring is allowed to really come to us, there will be hope for a future again...
and friendships will return to a face to face bloom.
