The Parchment

The Parchment

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

I sit here at the windows edge
with many yesterdays on my mind.
 I see them more plainly
than the flower garden on the outside.
The pull of the pen brings memories to life,
as my imagination dances between commas
I write,
 and my need for creation
is set right.

I always enjoy when you string a strain of structured, synonyms with simple sayings.

Lol I can’t help myself sometimes:)
this is all a wonderful feeling
the warm windowsill, the garden and the freedom to let your mind wander.
We had a little Junko conflict with out warm window today and I sat in the sun, with it in my hand, while it collected its senses
Much the same feeling
Nicely written

I picture a magical notepad, where doodles of flowers, the sun and rainbows come to life and dance along the pages, when you aren't looking. A poetic version of toy story 😀

Oh I like that
Indeed that creative moment captured in a descriptive moment frozen in verse.

Thank you John,
oh yes, "imagination dances between commas" love that line...
funny how we can just look at nature and its beauty...but not really see it when our mind is flowing with inspiration...and memories need to be put into poems.
really relate to this one.
