love poem

Cascading 

Cascading wheat bend to barefeet, 

twinkling eyes a starlight treat.. 

A path is made by fading light to find the moon 

to be a pale nightlight. 

Cascading water, music to the soul, 

shoes in hand,  lapping tide, at toes. 

Cascading hair tumbles down,  

and cascading dress hits the ground. 

Sparkers swim by dead of night,  

As emotions cascade, and  lovers unite.

i can feel the water between my toes as i read. lovers engaging in a midnight skinny-dip, caught up in the passion of the moment. the repetitive use of the word cascading is very emotive. nice piece ... :)

It's funny but words that have the same meaning can be associated with different emotions.

thank you Kay, for a more than generous review. as far as gaps go, I like letting the reader join in, if the writer connects all the dots it becomes arranged words, but if you can engage the reader it springs to life.
Wish I was better at it, guess I will just keep practicing.

Superb use of imagery and imagination to awaken our senses so well and subtly done 100% on board in your use of the word sparkers you clever girl so much to like in this one. I had another review written but I guess it was so gushing it wasn't saved anyway you really got me as the kinks would sing

I've always liked learning about word origins so when this came rolling off I picked up on it 😛

In fact yesterday I read about the origin of the word hooker interesting to me anyway because a family named hooker moved onto my mail route when 1st introduced they said hi were the hookers. so I said like in t j hooker deflecting lol

As far as my grandma goes, funny thing is the older I get the more I look like her and her sisters.
I'll catch myself in the mirror and wonder when that happened.
