Waking teen

going wild.

Barely legal, 

young and free,

judging parents 

like you and me. 

Grandma waiting 

for the news.

A momma crying 

as baby coos.

Mother young 

relives her past

with a sleeping 

babe at her breast.

This reminds me so much of Carly Simon's "Coming Around Again", I had to go get it & play it. maybe we can learn something from our children...remind ourselves of when we had reckless abandon, youthful exuberance...loved without fear...
we see a reflection of ourselves in our young and wonder why we can't jump back into that mirror and relive those younger days.
yes, the cycle...and then that baby will grow up and see the same in his or her child...
the past is a mirror that passes through from generation to generation.
