I just love this...we thought we were so sneaky when we were kids...but the parents knew more than they ever let on.

Indeed a nice portrayal of children and the rivalry between siblings. I once snuck a chocolate bar one night and ate it in my bunk bed. My elder brother dobbed me in to my mum!

Ah Cherrie, this is indeed a sweet treat, and so relatable too. When mine were little this was so typical and it generated tears by the bucket. Happily they share beautifully now, no tears anymore. I so enjoyed the memories your poem brought to me. Thank you.
Haaa!!! I remember sneaking Archway Lemon cookies from my grandmas cookie jar at like 4 in the morning and taking them back to bed, only to be caught because the sheets were a crumby mess. I love this little slice of life...kids are the best.

This is the ultimate capture of those precious moments in life. Whether this is fiction or true, it sure feels like you wrote this only moments after experiencing it firsthand. Sometimes I get too tangled up in word crafting, so I really appreciate how you left this to be organic & palpable. You are always an inspiration to me! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
