Barrage of borage fills the skies,
and I on the offensive wonder why.
Careful maneuvering gives way to haste.
As exploding pollen cover this place.
My dream of a daisy will not be met
Even the wallflowers cannot be kept.


It's really cute imagery, until I found out about the author's allergy. So yeah, the best way to prevent attacks is to shoo away from those pollens. My cat sleeps with me all the time but my sinuses are clear, life is unfair.

I am thinking that starflowers are not a great idea for hayfever sufferers as they spread pollen widely and self seed all over the place. However they are good for brassica etc and tomatoes. As a hay fever suferer I say concrete is ther answer! Kidding..................................................................................

lol, okay here is my favorite joke

A sailor gets a 3day liberty, He meets a beautiful girl and they paint the town. So, once the day is over they head to her place for a night-cap. Once the lovers are finished. The sailor said:
Honey if I'd known you were a virgin I would have taken my time:)
In which the woman said:
Sailor if I'd known you were in a hurry I would have taken off my pantyhose. :)

Okay, here's mine.

A juggler is driving down the street when he gets stopped by a cop. The officer comes up to the car and asks to see his licence and registration.

As the guys fishing through his wallet, the cops see machetes, knives and a chainsaw in the backseat. "What is that stuff in the backseat?" the officer says.

Oh, I'm a juggler," the man states.

Oh yeah, says the cop, get out and prove it to me.

The man gets out, starts up the chainsaw and starts juggling.

Around that time, an old couple come driving by. Wow. says the old man, I'm glad I stopped drinking.
Why? asks his wife.

Are you kidding, he says. look at the tests they're giving now."

That's awesome I spent 13 yrs with the Tulsa police department dispatching and my husband did 21 years as a deputy .
I will be spreading that joke around.

That's a long time to serve. Gives a person a unique outlook. It took ne years to learn to slow my pace down and learn not everything is an emergency. But I eventually did.

oh so sad even your wallflowers will take you down :( haven't seen the borage in me life... so looked it up ... seems it has some pretty good redeeming qualities as well as the adverse ... I also never had a problem with allergies until moving into the Ozarks where twice a year everything is coated with green ... this year i will probably finally invest in a power washer ... love your poem ma'am ... and your humor in the notes ... fine chuckles to start me day .. tho i feel your misery :((((((((
