A Valentine's Bless You

A Valentine's Bless You

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

we can't always be well on this romantic day

"

Somehow,  a card finds its way to each pillow.

Resting between  Kleenex

instead of Russell Stover’s.

No wine to hoist a toast

Just toast and juice shared between a

blown nose.

A bless you here and a bless you there.

And a NyQuil induced nap will leave us here.

I wish you a speedy recovery from whatever infection overpowered the usual senses at this time if year, being hit on the head repeatedly by hallmark and chocolate sellers the world over, not to mention florists jacking up prices. Blah! We're better off without it :)
