and Chantilly over skin so bare. Sipping a magical elixir, a deep red Malbec. Setting the speculation to Bille Holiday and "la flamme". Yes, this will need a series of tests.

Any mention of Billie Holiday is good. Is this about someone drinking alone and that initial loveliness before it turns? Like Billie somewhat.. the greatest and most tender voice of all, but the heartache behind it mon dieu...

Haha brilliant, perhaps with an element of Eddie Murphy too!
As I sip my last taste of my morning brew and taste the perfection of a well aged red wine to your love potion in poetic form. you stir a memory of my childhood when billy holiday performed on a barge on the Allegheny river at the point here in Pittsburgh. Her voice traveled across the water and echoed A spectral spectrum of color and tone that I can still hear in my memories ear. Well test one... bunny + result :)
Not sure I catch all the all the allusions in this potent little piece, but Billie Holiday strikes a strong tone.
Also, I recall mixing up many an "elixir"; hoping it would be repeatedly tested.
Sweet, succinct and impactful, Cherrie!

Benny Hill meets Mel Brooks and hosted by Madeline Kahn.
The mention of Billie Holiday took this to another realm for me. I have to agree with Jacob. Some music begs to be heard, again and again and again. This is dynamic, Cherrie...in so many ways!
When the mad scientist speak to us. We are in trouble. Billie Holiday, always make a night sweeter and thank you dear Cherrie for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Ah . . . poetry and jazz! They do go together. In fact as I go over various poems in this site I have jazz playing over YouTube. Don't do alcohol anymore, so have to leave that out. No pun intended, but there's a nice"mix" in the poem!.
