Hmmmm, Let's Go

Hmmmm, Let's Go

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

summertime

"

Hmmmm, come on baby let’s go

We’ll drive to the end of that old dirt road

Where you and I use to skip stones

We’ll pop-a-top and slow dance

With the setting sun, skinny dip.

Come on.

The summer sun will set the tone

As we blaze down that old dirt road.

Hmmmm, come on baby let’s go

There’s nowhere I’d rather be

Scoot on over and sit with me

As the music plays we’ll reminisce.

Let’s relive that first kiss.

Hmmmm, let’s go.

Thank you , so much.
Hey I know you from years past...How the hell are you? This is so lyrical and has the greatest summertime vibe. Light and fanciful and wonderful. Grat job!

Just got back to the house, spent the day on the river and thank you.
Reminds me of when I was younger and we rode motorcycles. Great poem to read.

it does smell of freedom :)
You've afforded many of us a time to remember...if only we could play it again!

WOWZA-babycakes! This poem just catapulted me back about 40 years! This is the earthy organic kind of romance that these poor young’uns be missing, what with all their electronic courting & such! I often wish I could convey the simple pleasures of falling in lust, in the flesh, to these young folks who never get to meet half the people they’re smitten about. But here you’ve gone & done it for me! Love this! Such deliciously-described details! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
