Blackened DayA Poem by Cherrie Palmera little morning fun for this rainy day while waiting to put my granddaughter on the busBlackened morning, dark as night
Fills my thoughts, with dread and fright.
Cold dead air, without a breeze
Grips my feet, makes weak, my knees.
Eerie sound, comes my way,
Telling my anxiety, it’s time to flee.
But true fear, make lead my feet.
Forcing me to wait for
What comes this way.
Then my alarm, sets me free
And a blackened day is what I see. © 2016 Cherrie PalmerReviews
