Blend To Black

Blend To Black

A Poem by Cherrie
"

a winters day

"

Mountain of gray and water so clear, circles down to a lea of gold.

Trees stand bare, while the wind carries the fragrance of snow

fragments of color are tossed about and at her feet I gaze.

My dreams of life soar across fathoms of blue until azure skies blend to black.

Those celestial bodies glitter and gleam like the hopes of a child on Christmas-Eve.

Then with no warning a lark calls me back and again I return, content to my well-traveled path.

Your words bring a picturesque vision of serenity... it is like I could breath it all in.
