Against The WindA Poem by Cherrie Palmerbutterfly in flightLike lashes batting
back waves of sorrow paper like wings
flutter against the wind. Lace of blue skirts
this fellow, He’s brightly patched
in hues of yellow Muted black trims him
out and He glides on grace even when tossed about. Like an autumn leaf
commanded by the breeze, this tiny dancer
steals the sky as his performance in air, catches my sight. © 2012 Cherrie PalmerAuthor's Note
