A Poem by Cheng Yew,Chew
"

Whilst you read, you will know the title of this poem.^^

"

In the banks of mist,

I pick up the axe like-

a woodcutter of deception.

Beneath the hanging clouds-

I'm cutting down the trees in the-

dark forest of love growing-

over the fruitful land of righteousness

with the fiery axe bestowed upon-

me by my winged Kinsman who dwells in-

love and heeds my cry.

Cutting,cutting endlessly with-

no sights of fear.

Many good terms in this poem for a title. I like the the line "no sights of fear." The poem had many hidden stories. Poetry support make us think and create visions in our head. You did. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I like your line splits like "I pick up an axe like- a woodcutter of deception". It's really good, the beautiful usage of words really sticks out. I love how this is (or seems to be) an extended metaphor, the second stanza, especially "with the fiery axe bestowed upon- me by my winged Kinsman who dwells in- love and heeds my cry." ...that is really amazing. I love it ^^. Fantastic poem, Cheng Yew, Chew

Huh.. pretty short.. but it does have a deep meaning depending on how you look at it. It may be taken in different ways. Nice write though. =)
I like the imagery here and it also has a feel of sadness overwhelming this poem. Has a nature theme to it.. or at least that's what i'm getting from it.
